ITINERARY

Day 01: CUSCO - PUNO
After breakfastwe'll start the eight-hour journey from Cusco to Puno (12,000 ft) in our private transport. We'll arrive at about 7.00 pm to the highland city. Along the way we will visit Pikillaqta, the RumilColca South Gate, the colonial church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas (called the Sistine Chapel of Perú) and the Wiraqocha Temple in Raqchi. Once we arrive to Puno, we will check you into your hotel. (B/L)

Day 02: Titicaca LAKE
After breakfast you’ll be picked up from the hotel heading Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. We will take a launch from the Puno docks to Uros, an amazing complex of about 40 floating islands made out of the totora reed. From Uros, we continue to the island of Taquile, hiking a beautiful Inka trail surrounded by the natural landscape of the sacred lake of the Inkas. We will have lunch at a restaurant in Taquile. After lunch, we will take our boat to Amantani Island, where the community preserves its ancient ways of life: clothing, language, customs and social organization. At Amantani, we'll visit the sacred mountains of Apu Pachatata and Pachamama, where we will make a special offering to the Apus, surrounded by beautiful views of the Lake and the Andean landscape. After dinner we will be welcomed with a fantastic party with the local people in “La Peña”. We will spend the night as guests in the comfortable homes of local families. (B/L/D)

Day 03: COPACABANA - ISLA DEL SOL
After breakfast there is a private transfer from your hotel to the Sanctuary of Copacabana (12,500 ft) and then lunch. At approximately 13.00 pm we’ll be transferred by motor boat towards the Isla Del Sol. Guided visit by the gardens, stairs and Inka fountains. We continue on touring the town of Yumani (13,000 ft) with a magnificent panoramic view of the lake and surrounded by the Illampu snow-capped mountain and the Cordillera Real of the Andes. Return to Copacabana at approximately 5.00 pm. Transfer to La Paz, where we stay at a Hotel. (B/L)

Day 04: CITY TOUR - VALLE DE LA LUNA
We have breakfast. In the morning we have city tour visiting its typical artisan market, the colonial church of San Francisco, the Médico Brujo market, Plaza Murillo and The Cathedral. We will continue to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calocoto and Florida. Then we visit the Valle de la Luna, with its stunning geological formations. The afternoon is free, and then accommodations are provided at a hotel. (B/L)

Day 05: LA PAZ - TIWANAKU
After breakfast we’ll head Tiahuanaco 45 miles far away from La Paz, the tour passes through the Bolivian highlands. Tiwanaco or Tiahuanaco (12,650 ft) is one of the oldest American cultures (1580 BC to 1150 AC), considered one of the most advanced cultures in the world. We will visit the temple of Kalasasaya, the Gate of the Sun, monoliths Ponce and Fraile, the Akapana pyramid and the Semi underground temple, as well as the local museum. We have lunch and we’ll take our way back to La Paz and Hotel. (B/L)
Day 06: TRANSFER OUT
In the morning, you’ll be transferred to El Alto International Airport to catch your international flight or continue your journey. (B)
